Financial literacy reinforced positive behavior towards resource management to destructive learners!!!!

Located in a small peninsula village called Nango in Mayuge district is Nango primary school  with a population of about 2560 learners. The natives mainly depend on fishing as the main economic activity due location on the shores of Lake Victoria. Consequent of poor fishing methods, the government put up strict restrictions on fishing at the lake resulting into reduction of household incomes and low livelihoods. This also, has in turn affected the education of the children. When I first arrived at Nango primary school for the Teach For Uganda fellowship, I was met with chaos. My learners were unruly, go tearing up their books and throwing papers all over the classroom. It was disheartening to see such a lack of respect for their own property and resources.
